The Oslo stock exchange efficiently hosts the NOREX platform. In 2002 an agreement was signed by Oslo Børs with the stock exchanges of Stockholm, Copenhagen and Iceland to establish a joint Nordic marketplace known as NOREX. By working together the four Nordic exchanges can offer investment opportunities across a broadly-based range of industries and sectors, and the use of a common trading system makes it much simpler for international firms to trade in Nordic shares.
