Jordan Equities

The ASE membership is comprised of Jordan's 52 brokerage firms. The exchange is an active member of the Union of Arab Stock Exchanges, Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS), an affiliate member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), and an affiliate member of the International Organization for Securities Commissions (IOSCO).

The main index is the ASE Unweighted Index.

In the ASE Unweighted Index, all stocks (70) carry equal weight.

There is no consideration of the market capitalization, and the price level does not have an impact because the index formula deals with percentage changes only. Such an index can be used by an investor who invests equal amounts of money in each stock in his/her portfolio.
