The Finance Centre is responsible for marketing, promotion and development, as well as providing new businesses with a comprehensive and informative service centre.
The Finance Centre operates in collaboration with public sector bodies and business/industry associations. In addition to promoting Gibraltar as an international financial centre, it handles enquiries received from institutions planning to establish themselves on the Rock. A special Tax Licensing unit determines applications for the designation of special tax status to companies as well as to high net worth individuals (Category 2 status) and relocated executives possessing specialist skills (Category 3 and Category 4 status). The comprehensive services provided by the Finance Centre constitute a key component of the long-term strategic plan that will ensure the Rock's success as a first-class financial centre.
