In Germany, 8 Stock Exchanges are available: Berlin Stock Exchange, Bremen Stock Exchange (a member of the SWX Swiss Exchange), Dusseldorf Exchange, EUREX, Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Hamburg Exchnge, Munich Stock Exchange, Stuttgart Exchange.
FRANKFURT STOCK EXCHANGE
The FWB Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse is one of the world's largest trading centers for securities. It is able to meet the steadily growing requirements of cross-border trading. Besides traditional floor trading, it has in Xetra one of the leading electronic trading platforms in the world. Today, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is an international trading center: some 140 of around 300 market participants come from abroad.
The main index is the XETRA DAX (The Deutscher Aktienindex).
The Dax is a blue chip index for the price of shares quoted on the German Stock Exchange and lists the 30 top major German companies.
